The San Angelo Performing Arts Coalition in San Angelo, Texas is pleased to invite applications for the position of founding Executive Director.   

 The San Angelo Performing Arts Coalition was established in 2011 as a private non-profit organization to govern, develop and operate a new center of venues and studios developed for theatre, dance, music, and program the historic 1,350 seat City Auditorium upon completion of its rehabilitation in 2017.  The nearby state-of-the-art SAPAC is to be completed and opened this fall and is comprised of a 300 seat proscenium theatre with backstage facilities available for licensing, a 120 seat black box theatre/rehearsal hall, seven dance studios under lease by the San Angelo Civic Ballet Company, 2,400 square feet of available rental space and several board rooms available for licensing.

The Executive Director has specific responsibility for strategic planning, financial management, program development, marketing, community and board relations, as well as staffing, facilities and equipment management. The new Executive Director will be asked to manage the risks and analyze the cost-benefits of program ideas, audience engagement strategies, operations and organizational operating models.  The successful candidate will be an excellent and articulate spokesperson for the performing arts and have a proven track record in programming, budgeting, fundraising and not-for-profit governance.  An MBA in arts administration is desirable together with at least six years of executive experience in theatre facility management, presentation and promotion. The salary range starts at $65,000 and will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience and in accordance with the successful growth and dynamics associated with the candidate in the role of the Executive Director in San Angelo Performing Arts Campus.
